Humid air is pulled into to the unit using energy efficient fans, which is circulated through our patented desiccant technology.
During the extraction phase, water is baked from the desiccant using warm air and condensed into pure, clean water.
Minerals are added back into the water and can be piped directly into your home, garden, or external water tank.
What quality of water does the generator produce?
100% Pure Drinking Water
The quality of the water meets WHO’s standard for drinking water – even when created from polluted air, like Los Angeles smog. How? Because the salt only absorbs H20 from the air, not contaminants, so pure distilled water is baked out of the salt.

The water generator produces water even when humidity is low. So desert climates are not a problem for the generator. How? Because the system uses salt, not freon, to capture and condense humidity into water, it can operate in a broad range of climates – even deserts.
Is the water generator environmentally friendly?
Each generator can operate completely off-the-grid using solar thermal collectors and photovoltaic panels. SunToWater consumes 0.51 kWh of power per gallon, approximately 70% less power than conventional dehumidifiers using Freon.
